proces engineer
who we are
At prado, we build invisible home technology for the world’s best architects. What began with a single flagship product in 2021 is now an integrated ecosystem of lighting, ventilation, power and security solutions, carried by more than 150 colleagues across Europe, North America and the Middle East. We are a family of brands that keeps on growing.
To support our continued growth, we are looking for a process engineer to take ownership of how our operations run. In this role, you standardise, structure and continuously improve our production, assembly/logistics processes, and the systems behind them. You don't just spot what could work better; you design the better way of working, bring the right people together to embed it, and make sure it sticks and shows up in the numbers.
what you will do
Improve our end-to-end operational processes: from inbound and bulk through pre-assembly, assembly, quality, packing and picking. Mapping how work flows today and designing how it should flow tomorrow.
Identify bottlenecks, waste and error sources across the floor, and lead the improvement initiatives that remove them (efficiency, lead-time reduction, capacity utilisation, quality).
Standardize ways of working across the operation. You set the standard and coordinate with R&D, production, logistics and quality to get the right documentation and control plans created and maintained.
Redesign flows to make them faster and more reliable: for example, reworking the picking and packing setup to cut picking errors and enable pick/pack separation, or improving how components are staged and slotted so the floor loses less time searching.
Help make daily life on the floor easier through smarter use of our systems: working with our Odoo and master-data teams to reduce manual steps, improve data accuracy, and put the right information in operators' hands.
Bring an AI-savvy mindset to the operation: spotting where AI and modern digital tools can speed up analysis, reporting, documentation and everyday problem-solving, and being eager to pilot and roll them out.
Define and maintain the operational KPIs and reporting (productivity, pick accuracy, scrap/rework, OTIF, inventory accuracy) that give the operation visibility and keep improvements on track.
Partner closely with planning, procurement, quality and the shop-floor teams to keep improvements aligned with real operational needs and customer delivery.
what we are looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial/Process Engineering, Supply Chain or a related technical field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a manufacturing, assembly or logistics environment is a plus, but drive and mindset matter more than years on the clock.
Familiarity with Lean or continuous-improvement thinking; a Green Belt is a plus, not a requirement.
Affinity with ERP/WMS systems (Odoo or similar): you're comfortable working in systems and see them as a lever, not a hurdle.
AI-savvy and genuinely curious about digital tools: you already reach for AI to work smarter and are keen to bring that into the operation.
Strong analytical mindset with solid Excel skills; an appetite to learn new tools quickly.
A floor-first, pragmatic mindset: you like being where the work happens and favour simple, robust solutions.
A natural coordinator and communicator who can bring people along and get things done without needing formal authority.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
